The following is a listing of all training activity provided through the MCCMH Training Department and some selected vendors.

Listed training opportunities/classes are open to employees of a directly operated MCCMH service department, MCCMH administrative staff, or as applicable employees of a contracted provider that provide direct services to an MCCMH individual. 

Specific flyers for each training will provide information regarding if a training has been approved for Social Work CE or if it can count towards MDHHS annually required 24 hours of CDTS (Childrens) Hours.

Emergency Preparedness Self Determination

Emergency Preparedness Training For Self Determination StaffThis training has been developed to assist staff members under the Self Determination arrangement to become better prepared for a variety of emergencies (fire, weather, utility, driving, and state of emergencies).
Emergency Preparedness Attestation Document This document needs to be filled out, signed by the staff member and employer, and then provided to the Fiscal Intermediary for retention in the staff members personnel file.

Level Of Care Utilization System (LOCUS)

2019 LOCUS Refresher Training This training will provide a brief overview of the LOCUS and the opportunity to practice the tool on vignettes and apply it to specific MCCMH services. Registration required.
2019 LOCUS Initial Training Required for anyone completing the LOCUS, attend this training to ensure understanding and effectiveness of this tool. Registration required.

Person-Centered Planning for Clinical Staff

This training required for all MCCMH contract agency & direct operated program providersInitial: face-to-face training within 90 days of hire for all providers involved in managing, planning, and/or delivering support and/or treatment services

Update: Must repeat initial PCP 2 yrs from date of last training
2019 Clinical PCP TrainingThis training is for all clinical staff (Supports Coordinators, Case Managers, Therapist, Supervisors, and those making determinations about eligibility for services or authorizations.

Child & Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS)

 TitleDescription
This training is for direct-operated & contract agency providers who rate the CAFAS. Initial: face-to-face training is required before any CAFAS assessments are completed.

Refresher: reliability training is required every 2 years.
A copy of your most recent CAFAS certificate is required for registration.
2019 CAFAS Initial TrainingIndividuals that are new to the CAFAS, failed to complete a booster within 2 years, or that fail the initial or booster training should take this course. If you fail to complete the booster within 2 years, you must retake the initial training.
2019 CAFAS Booster TrainingThis training is for individuals that are in compliance with the state mandate of completing booster training every 2 years.

Preschool Early Childhood Functional Assessment Scale (PECFAS)

This training is for direct-operated & contract agency providers who rate the PECFAS.Initial: face-to-face training is required before any PECFAS assessments are completed.

DSP Training - training for direct support professionals in residential settings (formerly DCW's)

This training will not include the required face to face Recipient Rights, FA/CPR or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention trainings.

Annual Medication Updates Training for Direct Support Professionals in Residential Programs

Metro Region Reciprocity Agreement for Direct Service Professionals (Formerly DCW) - Tuesday, June 11, 2019

The Metro Region Reciprocity Agreement applies to the Direct Care Worker training that complies with the State of Michigan curricula. Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne County PIHPs have reached an agreement of reciprocity for Direct Support Professionals that is in alignment with the curriculum entitled Providing Residential Services In Community Settings: A Training Guide. The MCCMH Training Department holds the expectation that all individuals attending scheduled training's will be present and signed in for the training prior to the scheduled start time. Any individuals that arrive late can be turned away and forfeit their reserved spot to an individual that is present and waiting to attend the scheduled training. 

 
Relias Learning System - Sunday, January 01, 2017

Relias Learning System is an E-Learning system that PROVIDES educational opportunities to the various staff within the Macomb County CMH system. Relias houses various required training's as well as optional training's that staff can utilize to enhance their knowledge and earn professional educational credits.

The Relias Learning System users are not able to register for face to face training's through the system, therefore staff should contact the training department to register for the desired training. Relias Learning system will allow staff to upload certificates from external training's as well as track and monitor the status of various required training's.
