These activities are open to MCCMH direct-operated program providers & contract agency providers (unless noted otherwise).

LOCUS Training

The training is relevant for Social Workers, Psychologists, Counselors and staff involved in care coordination, or other functions.This course will help attendees document the enrolleeā€™s needs based on 6 evaluation dimensions, level of functioning and the recommended level of care. Effective immediately the tool must be completed on any adult participating in the MI Health Link.

Child & Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS) Training**

This training is for direct-operated & contract agency providers who rate the CAFAS. Initial: face-to-face training is required before any CAFAS assessments are completed.

Refresher: reliability training is required every 2 years.

Individuals that are new to the CAFAS, failed to complete a booster within 2 years, or that fail the initial or booster training.

Preschool Early Childhood Functional Assessment Scale (PECFAS)

This training is for direct-operated & contract agency providers who rate the PECFAS.Initial: face-to-face training is required before any PECFAS assessments are completed.

Refresher: reliability training is required every 2 years. A copy of your most recent PECFAS certificate of completion will be needed for
2016 PECFAS FlyerWhen the most current class is filled, registration for the next available class will begin.

Individuals that are new to the PECFAS,failed to complete the booster within 2 years, or failed the initial or booster.
2016 PECFAS Booster FlyerMDHHS mandates raters complete a booster training every 2 years.

This training is for individuals that are in compliance with the MDHHS mandate time frame of every 2 years.

CPR & First Aid

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

Intended AudienceThe training is mandatory for all Case Managers, Supports Coordinators, and their Supervisors.

There is also a training for consumers and their family currently using self-determination and those interested in using self-determination.

Skills Training for CLS, Respite and Self Determination Staff

Skills Training for CLS, Respite and Self Determination StaffThis training is specific to the needs of CLS, Self Determination and Respite staff. Participants will learn basic vital signs and symptoms of health related issues. Medication uses, side effects, monitoring and documentation will also be covered.
IMPORTANTThis training will not cover the process of medication administration or certify participants to pass/administer medications.

MCCMH Training Department Start Time - Wednesday, November 18, 2015

The MCCMH Training Department holds the expectation that all individuals attending scheduled training's will be present and signed in for the training prior to the scheduled start time. Any individuals that arrive late can be turned away and forfeit their reserved spot to an individual that is present and waiting to attend the scheduled training. 

 
Metro Region Reciprocity Agreement for Direct Care Workers - Tuesday, November 24, 2015

The Metro Region Reciprocity Agreement applies to the Direct Care Worker training that complies with the State of Michigan curricula. Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne County PIHPs have reached an agreement of reciprocity for Direct Support Professionals that is in alignment with the curriculum entitled Providing Residential Services In Community Settings: A Training Guide. Relias Learning System - Tuesday, November 10, 2015

Relias Learning System is an E-Learning system that educational PROVIDES opportunities to the various staff within the Macomb County CMH system. Relias houses various required training's as well as optional training's that staff can utilize to enhance their knowledge and earn professional educational credits.

The Relias Learning System users are not able to register for face to face training's through the system, therefore staff should contact the training department to register for the desired training. Relias Learning system will allow staff to upload certificates from external training's as well as track and monitor the status of various required training's.

Relias Learning has the capability of adding external training. Copies of certificates, or other documentation, no longer needs to be sent to the Training Dept. To document participation in an external training:

3. Click on the + ADD COMPLETED TRAINING link

For training's that qualify for Children's Training Hours, be sure to include -ch following the training title.
